The song that I’ve chosen for this artwork is Bring Me To Life by Evanescence.

The song has many meanings. One of the song's meaning is that it evokes a feeling inside of you that you’ve never felt before – a feeling that makes you feel alive inside.

But how is my artwork based on this song?  

Basically my interpretation is a contrast to the song’s original meaning. This is all about an angel who has fallen to the darkness. He discovers a pleasurable and compelling feeling of pure evil, which is most terrifying.  He feels like he has been saved by the darkness. As part of the lyrics says, “Save me from the dark”. Instead he’s being saved from the light, which brings him closer to life. So overwhelmed by this feeling his light is being devoured by the darkness.
